Directorate for Roads of Vietnam (MoT) has just issued the document to request the regional road management units, the departments of transport of provinces mandated to manage national highways all over the country to study and apply the precast reinforced concrete channels/ ditches of Ba Ria – Vung Tau Urban Sewerage and Development Company (BUSADCO) in the projects of periodic repair and maintenance of the national highway system. This is one of the contents of Scientific and Technological innovation under the comprehensive innovation scheme for road maintenance in Vietnam.

Reportedly, the comprehensive innovation scheme for road maintenance in Vietnam is the restructuring in the road sector in combination with the restructuring in other sectors in order to create a breakthrough in developing the transport infrastructure; this is a basic to restructure the modes of transport. The scheme focuses on investment in major traffic works to ensure the connection with major economic centers, gateway transport junctions, routes with high transport demand by the modern synchronous transport system of Vietnam.
