On 23^rd January, the Science and Technology Council - Directorate of Irrigation (Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development) - being in charge of recognizing the new technology and technique breakthroughs worked with Ba Ria – Vung Tau Urban Sewerage and Development Company (BUSADCO) to evaluate the scientific and technological works of BUSADCO applied in the rural agriculture, dyke protection, embankment construction and prevention of climate change.

Through the appraisal of the design documents and the works of irrigation channel and embankment constructed by BUSADCO in regions all over the country, the Science and Technology Council, Directorate of Irrigation highly appreciates the socioeconomic efficiency brought by them, especially the precast reinforced concrete and fibrous concrete channels, ditches with thin walls and assembled embankment base for protection of shore and dyke. In the next time, the Directorate of Irrigation shall facilitate for BUSADCO to deploy themes of scientific and technological application in anti- riverside erosion, anti – coastline erosion and climate change prevention in the provinces of Mekong Delta.

Beside the successful construction and installation of 4 kilometers of assembled embankment base for protection of shore and dyke for wave stopping at Nam Thinh commune (Tien Hai district, Thai Binh province), BUSADCO also has constructed and put tens of kilometers of precast reinforced concrete irrigation channels/ ditches with thin walls into use at the 18 sample fields in 6 districts of Thai Binh province for the last 2 years.
